WSCS has a strong focus on academics. A carefully designed core curriculum and highly qualified teachers provide a differential advantage to WSCS students.
Beginning with a strong phonics approach to reading in kindergarten and elementary school, students develop high comprehension and analysis skills. Effective writing and speech communication are emphasized in a program designed to develop competent leaders for the information age.
Mathematics, science and computer technology are significant components of the WSCS curriculum. Our program blends the theoretical with the practical. Hands-on activities in our modern science and computer labs enhance our college prep program. |

Three levels of foreign language instruction, art education, music education (vocal and instrumental), business instruction (electronic information processing, business analysis, and accounting), yearbook production, and journalism complement the core curriculum.
