At WSCS, we desire to bring glory to God through the use the fine
arts with a program designed to reflect this. Students begin studying music and
art in our pre-K program and continue that study throughout the elementary grades
with additional options at the Junior and Senior High levels.
Our program introduces the fundamentals of music and music
theory in the elementary grades. Students may also begin the study of
instruments such as piano, violin, flute, and brass under a variety of
teachers. Upper elementary students develop their voices as members of
our elementary choirs in preparations for two concerts and various recitals
held each year. At the Junior and Senior High levels many students
participate in the state-wide NYACS Fine Arts Festival. Nearly every
year, WSCS students win the privilege of participating in the national AACS
conference in South Carolina. In addition to two concerts per year and
weekly chapel program, there are opportunities to sing or perform in area
shopping malls, nursing homes, Roswell and other local venues.
